A boat with 60 to 70 passengers aboard capsized in the Indus River in Sadikabad, Pakistan’s Punjab province.
Police, who arrived at the scene, announced that at least 19 women drowned and at least 35 people were rescued. It was learned that the capsized boat belonged to a wedding convoy going from Kharordan to Machkaya.
The search for missing persons continues.
