The foreign ministers of the European Union (EU) came together in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, to increase the existing sanctions against Russia, which continues its attacks on Ukraine, and to take new decisions. High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Relations and Security Policy Josep Borrell, talking about the bans that can be brought against Russian gold, said, “The most important thing is to ban Russian gold.”

EU foreign ministers also raised the issue of more arms support to the Ukrainian army. It was stated that within the framework of the decisions taken at the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba will also be informed.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said: “If there’s one thing that needs to go on, it’s the gun guarantee. Anyone who can do this is obvious. These are the main industrial countries of the Western world. That’s why they have to step up,” he said.
